This 8 x 10" oil study of spring flowers in an urn, on canvas board. During Alberta springs it snows quite a bit, and winter seems to last forever and to cheer myself up, I like to buy small pots of different spring flowers and arrange them in a beautiful pot. So I combined a red tulip, a blue hydrangea, a white primrose and miniature daffodil. I loved watching and photographing the plants as they grew, evolved and flopped over creating an interesting sculptural still life.
