This piece was created from a photo shoot where I took dozens of pictures of my beautiful intense pink peonies which I had just cut fresh from the garden. As I placed all the peonies on the table and started placing peonies in the vase one at a time, there was such a beautiful mess created... I had to paint it... flowers, stems and petals strewn about the table. There is incredible beauty in chaos if one takes the time to see it. 
This piece was a FINALIST and was published in the Southwest Art Magazine Art Competition titled “Artistic Excellence” Dec. 2020.  As well  I was honoured that this piece won a Silver Medal Award in the “2020 Signature Medal Exhibition”, an exclusive exhibition for signature members, at the Federation Gallery in Vancouver BC Canada.
