Oil on masonite, 24x30” — Contemporary Impressionistic Floral
“Cascading Wine” is a lush, expressive symphony of deep burgundy, crimson, and plum — an impressionistic exploration of color, movement, and emotion. Inspired by cascading roses in full bloom, this piece captures the romantic drama of petals tumbling through shadow and light.
Rich layers of oil paint flow together like liquid silk — reds merging into velvety purples and eggplant tones, with subtle flickers of luminous highlights that dance across the surface. The composition evokes both abundance and mystery, suggesting the quiet decadence of a candlelit garden at dusk.
In this work, I let instinct guide the brush, blending abstraction with the recognizable grace of roses. The result is both bold and tender — a visual echo of passion, beauty, and the intoxicating depth of nature’s palette.
